5 Family Adventure Attractions to Explore In Dallas

Dallas, Texas is just about 3hours away from where I live so I usually would visit Dallas often. Dallas have been growing tremendously as new restaurants and attractions pop up everywhere. A lot of new businesses came to Dallas to grow.

Let's start off with a few attractions that I find interesting.

Opening Hours:

  • Monday-Thursday (Closed)

  • Friday (12:00PM-7:00PM)

  • Saturday-Sunday (11:00AM-7:00PM)

Address: 2601 Preston Rd #3011, Frisco, TX 75034

If you have kids, then KidZania is a great place to add to your list. KidZania is a place where kids could go into the city and play with various role profession. They will be offered a KidZania currency to use, and the kid had to work to earn money. They can use the amount that they make to buy stuff or save. They specifically have everything just like the real world to make the kids world a reality! Since this world is specially made for kids, only kids could line up for activities.

Opening Hours: (Varies on the type of tour you're booking)

Address: Boathouse Dr, Grapevine, TX 76051

A great way to go on a getaway trip! This outdoor activity will make you want to come back again. They have 2 different tours that you can book. The first one was Sunset and Glow Tour. This tour will take you on an adventure at sunset where you paddle through a cove at Grapevine Lake. While paddling as the sun goes down, you will get to see them illuminated the water with their LED lights. Very peaceful as I must say. You will maybe spot different kinds of animals along the way. The second tour was Nature Tour. Nature Tour is sort of like Sunset and Glow tour except that we are not night paddling and there are no LED lights. But you get to see the nature around you and it's more sightseeing. Sadly, Little Z loves to do outdoor activities but Get Up and Go Kayaking had an age requirement of 10 years old or older. She is far from that so hopefully we could take her here once she turns 10. Great experience!

Opening Hours:

Monday-Thursday (1:00PM-8:00PM)

Friday (1:00PM-10:00PM)

Saturday (10:00AM-10:00PM)

Sunday (11:00AM-9:00PM)

Address: 2324 W Warrior Trail, Grand Prairie, TX 75052 (Located in EpicCentral)

Since I like to do outdoor adventure but are not very experienced yet, so I decided to give this place a try to boost my ego to the real world of adventure. It was a great experience and I had so much fun. Little Z also loves it as well. If you like to experience outdoor adventure but does not know how or is just a beginner, Bolder Adventure Park is a great place to experience. It's an indoor adventure and it has all kinds of outdoor adventures from playground area to rock/rope climbing to archery that you could practice and have fun. Fun place to enjoy with your family and friends!

If you love Disney's Mickey and his friends, stop by on Monday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday to meet the Disney characters animation onscreen. Yes, it's not like Disneyland where you could meet the characters in person face to face, but only onscreen. It's usually a fun experience for kids if they are into Mickey Mouse and his friends. Little Z and her friends loved it, and they had a great time! This is a 40-minute adventure experience where you go through the magic door, and it takes you and your kids on a journey to play and work together to save the day. Be careful! When Goofy zaps, everyone and the Disney characters will get shrunk to the size of a grape. Teamwork makes perfect team! So, work together to solve the riddle and save the day!

Or if you just want a simple bootcamp, they are open daily and is pretty enjoyable for kids who love to craft or make something out of their imagination. They have from slime bar to ceramic/fabric painting.

Opening Hours:

Monday-Thursday (10:00AM-10:00PM)

Friday (10:00AM-11:00PM)

Saturday (9:00AM-11:00PM)

Sunday (9:00AM-10:00PM)

Address: 5013 W Plano Pkwy, Plano, TX 75093

This is by far one of my favorite places to visit in Dallas. Little Z would laugh it off every single time. If your family are into game, then this place is for you. Great exercise and interactive activities that you could enjoy and spend with your family. It's not just a game where you would find in arcade, this place you had to use your agility and brain.

The game room requires 2-5 people to start, if you have more than 5 people then you'll have to split up to a group of 5. It is a 75-minutes experience with over 500 challenges to choose from. Since Little Z is under age 5, it was hard for her to play since the game was made for teen and adult. But as long as she's playing and enjoying and laughing it off, the money was well worth it. She did try to jump to her best of knowledge!

Thank you for reading and I hope that this post gives you some exciting ideas for your next planning or upcoming adventure trip to Dallas!
